Winter Photoshoot in the algarve
This winter photoshoot in the Algarve was a couple of years in the making due to Covid, but over Christmas 2022 I was in Lagos, Portugal and finally got to shoot with model Stephanie. The locations for the shoot were on one of my favourite beaches in Lagos, Praia do Canavial, and also on the cliffs above the beach near to Ponte da Piedade.
Praia do Canavial is perfectly located for a winter photoshoot in the Algarve, as it catches the evening light around sunset. The golden hour light in Lagos, Portugal is always spectacular! Above the beach on the cliffs, with it being winter the dusty landscape most people see in Summer is covered in lush green vegetation, giving some amazing colours in the evening light.
Stephanie highlighted a few shots from some of my recent shots she liked, so the theme for the shoot was based around those. So we had a mixture of swimwear and outfits for a moody vibe. I post processed the shots from the photoshoot with a mixture of monochrome, for that moody vibe, and colour, to highlight the fantastic colours of the Algarve evening light in Lagos.
